The battle between Google and Microsoft

Google and Microsoft that intend to influence Web users’ search habits has launched fierce battle.According to the latest news, Google will soon let consumers buy and listen to music from its search-results page, which is Google’s latest wave of attack.
The move comes as Google is facing its biggest competition in years from Microsoft, which has launched its Bing search engine in June and has struck a partnership with Yahoo.
At an Internet industry conference, Microsoft trumpeted deals with Facebook and Twitter that will let Bing better search public content that people post to those services — an effort to get an edge over Google in searching ‘real-time’ information.
Google fired back later in the day, announcing it had reached a similar deal with Twitter and by demonstrating a new tool for searching social networks.
Google’s and Microsoft’s moves mark a new phase in the rivals’ multi-year battle to build a better search engine by outdoing each other on technology and, increasingly, by adding content and additional features.
Microsoft launched Bing in early June, hoping to steal users from Google by providing more detailed content in certain areas, such as shopping and travel.
Google won’t earn revenue from the music partnership, said people familiar with the matter, but is doing it to stay relevant in the search market.
